Who We Are

The services the Family Center Visitation Program offers are:

  • Visitation Exchanges: a parent with primary placement is able to exchange his/her child(ren) for visitation periods without having direct contact with the other parent. This helps to prevent the child(ren) from witnessing abuse or harassment and keeps all parties safe.
  • Supervised Visitation: contact between one or more children and a parent is in the presence of a neutral third party. Visitations can be ordered by the court system, during restraining order proceedings, or by self-referrals. Supervised visitations provide an opportunity for healthy interactions between children and parents. During these visits, families are able to build lasting memories to help mend, develop, and sustain child/parent relationships.
  • Advocacy: support services to help children and parents deal with family concerns are available. As an inclusive organization, we offer services to LGBTQ clients and clients with limited English language skills.
  • Parenting Information: We provide information to parents regarding children's issues and the impact of custody struggles and abuse on children.

What We Do

The Family Center Visitation Program developed from a need to protect adults and children from both physical and emotional abuse.

Our mission is to provide children, whose parents are struggling with domestic abuse, custody, or visitation issues, the opportunity to maintain healthy, positive contact with parents within a safe, nourishing, home-like environment.
