This volunteer would work with the House manager on duty to fulfill House needs from writing thank you notes to doing laundry, putting away donations, baking, etc. Volunteers do things "behind the scenes" to make our House a cozy home for the 10 families that stay with us while they have an ill child in the hospital. House Volunteers give of their time (1-3 hrs weekly for most). Some volunteer mornings, some afternoons, and some prefer evenings after school or work.
There is a 4-page application to be completed. We do call references and do background checks. A six-month commitment is required before we start the training. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. All must have a heart to serve!
