Volunteer: Pantry Supplies Needed for ShelterWith the increase in the number of PDC participants in shelter (20-35) daily, the increased food insecurity of non-residential participants, and the soaring cost of food has created a level of need we have not encountered before. Our food budget has dramatically increased, putting a strain on the agency's budget. Personal Development Center relies on the generosity and kindness of our community and the surrounding areas which has always been amazing. During the holidays we receive food donations, which are used to stock PDC’s pantry with dry goods and canned food. This year, due to the increased need, our panty is currently the lowest level it has ever been. We have less than a 30-day supply of food for nutritious meals in shelter. We are asking our supporters and the community for help. A list of the most used grocery items is attached. Even one can of soup or vegetables can make a difference. PDC is committed to the health and safety of our community’s most vulnerable.
