Who We Are
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas:
Disaster Cycle Services - Support your community through the entire disaster cycle: preparedness, response, and recovery. Teach families, organizations, businesses, and community members how to Be Red Cross Ready for disasters and emergencies. Help people affected by disasters ranging from home fires to hurricanes by providing shelter, food, essential relief items, comfort, and hope.
Service to the Armed Forces - Connect families and veterans with resources in response to emergencies, train military families in coping and resiliency skills, and supply recreational and therapeutic support in military and VA health care facilities.
Blood Services - Coordinate blood drives or serve as a volunteer to register blood donors and staff the refreshment area.
Health and Safety Services - Teach vital lifesaving skills such as those in first aid, CPR/AED, babysitting, water safety, and pet first aid courses
International Humanitarian Services - Coordinate fundraising for measles vaccines, educate youth about teh Geneva Conventions, and provide international tracing and messaging for loved oens separated by armed conflict.
What We Do
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
