Marshfield Clinic and Healthy Lifestyles – Marshfield Area Coalition School Wellness Committee are looking for parents and other individuals that are passionate about promoting student wellness in Marshfield schools. As an advocate and volunteer, you will collaborate with School Representatives on ways to reinforce healthy attitudes and behaviors within the district. You will have the unique opportunity to help oversee and implement School Wellness projects directly. Projects include: Safe Routes to School (such as the Walk/Bike to School Challenge, Walk to School Day, and Walking School Bus), Farm to School, elementary cooking carts, wellness advocacy and communication, and distributing healthy student incentives. The committee meets every month for one hour and committee members can expect an additional commitment of 1-2 hours per month to complete project-related tasks.
