When you give your time as a volunteer with St. Croix Hospice, you join a team of individuals dedicated to providing patient-centered care and comfort during advanced-stage illnesses. Hospice volunteers offer companionship, compassionate help and support for patients and their loved ones when they need it most. Volunteers provide an empathic, respectful and caring presence for patients and their loved ones.
The St. Croix Hospice team provides exceptional hospice care with an emphasis on quality of life. Our holistic care model offers physical, emotional and spiritual support uniquely tailored to a patient’s individual needs and wishes. When you join our team as a volunteer, you are making a difference in the lives of individuals and families right in your own community.
St. Croix Hospice is looking for individuals to send letters, send cards, call or video chat with our patients. So many of our patients love receiving cards, letters and phone calls. Make a difference in the lives of our patients with this rewarding opportunity.
Become a friend/companion to a patient when they really need it most! If you have a little extra time and are looking for something rewarding to do, look no further. When assigned to a patient, we will review the details of the patient’s life before you connect with them. We provide you with all the training and any resources you may need. Our virtual volunteers will be provided with postage paid cards when writing to patients.
