Description

Patient Visit Volunteers provide social support and a comforting presence to patients receiving Ministry Home Care Hospice services in Marshfield, Spencer, Colby, Neillsville and throughout Clark County and surrounding areas. Activities during a patient visit may include reminiscing, coversation and a friendly ear, reading aloud, helping put together a puzzle, playing a game, helping with small chores, going for a walk or giving a wheelchair ride. While volunteers do not provide direct patient care or transport patients, volunteers may run errands on occasion. Our need is highest in surrounding areas of Greater Marshfield Areas.

Hospice is about living each day to the fullest. It's about helping individuals dying of terminal illnesses live each day to the fullest in a pain-free environment, with dignity and peace. As a hospice volunteer, you can be a part of this incredible journey. Training and support are provided.
